The Hatfield~McCoy Trail System is a statutory corporation created by the West Virginia Legislature to generate economic development through tourism in nine southern West Virginia counties. By mid-2009, the Hatfield~McCoy Trail System covered more than 500 miles of off-road trails in five of its nine project counties. Each of its six trail systems is open 365 days a year to ATVs, dirt bikes, and utility vehicles (UTVs). Many of the trail systems also offer community connecting trails that allow visitors to access “ATV-friendly towns” to experience the charm of southern West Virginia.

Spanning nearly 8,000 acres of lush Southern West Virginia forest, Burning Rock Off-Road Park offers 100 miles of total trails. Each trail is uniquely different offering something for every skill level. From single track to double track and beyond, the park truly has a variety of terrain for your riding pleasure. Dirt bikes, ATV and UTV's are welcome at Burning Rock. For your convenience, the trails are open 365 days a year. Only a short drive from the McKinney Mountain Exit of the Coalfield Expressway, the trailhead amenities include: on-site parking, permit & souvenir sales, and restrooms.
